Today, ICE officers in Minneapolis were conducting targeted operations when rioters began blocking ICE officers and one of these violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them—an act of domestic terrorism.
An ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots.
He used his training and saved his own life and that of his fellow officers.
The alleged perpetrator was hit and is deceased. The ICE officers who were hurt are expected to make full recoveries.
This is the direct consequence of constant attacks and demonization of our officers by sanctuary politicians who fuel and encourage rampant assaults on our law enforcement. These men and women who are simply enforcing the law on the books are facing 1,300% increase in assaults against them and an 8,000% increase in death threats.
This is an evolving situation, and we will give the public more information as soon as it becomes available.

Nicolas Maduro has been charged with Narco-Terrorism Conspiracy, Cocaine Importation Conspiracy, Possession of Machineguns and Destructive Devices, and Conspiracy to Possess Machineguns and Destructive Devices against the United States. They will soon face the full wrath of American justice on American soil in American courts. Drei Gründe, weshalb die US-Einreise-Maßnahmen gegen die Chefinnen von HateAid völlig legitim sind:
1. HateAid ist keine „harmlose NGO“, sondern ein quasi-staatlicher Akteur: HateAid ist weitgehend öffentlich finanziert, verfolgt eine politisch mandatierte Agenda, genießt eine exklusive Nähe zu politischen Entscheidungsträgern und betreibt faktische Eingriffe in die Meinungsfreiheit von Bürgern durch Druck und eigens aufgesetzte Verfahren. Das ist ausgelagerte Staatsmacht („funktionale Privatisierung“) ohne demokratische Kontrolle.
2. Wer weltweit an der Verschiebung von Meinungsgrenzen mitwirkt und private Zensurmechanismen organisiert, betreibt Politik – nicht bloß Hilfe für Betroffene. Staaten dürfen darauf reagieren.
3. Und ganz banal: Die USA entscheiden souverän, wen sie einreisen lassen. Es gibt kein Grundrecht auf Einreise in ein fremdes Land – schon gar nicht für politische Akteure, deren Wirken man als problematisch ansieht.

For far too long, ideologues in Europe have led organized efforts to coerce American platforms to punish American viewpoints they oppose. The Trump Administration will no longer tolerate these egregious acts of extraterritorial censorship.
Today, @StateDept will take steps to bar leading figures of the global censorship-industrial complex from entering the United States. We stand ready and willing to expand this list if others do not reverse course.
