“Brother, I appreciate you sharing from John 1:1. We both love the KJV and see the clear distinction: ‘the Word was with God’ shows they are not the same Person.
But Scripture also says the Word was God (John 1:1), and ‘without him was not any thing made that was made’ (v.3).
Jesus Himself said, ‘I and my Father are one’ (John 10:30) and ‘Before Abraham was, I am’ (John 8:58) — claiming the divine name from Exodus 3:14.
Psalm 110:1 (‘The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand’) is figurative of authority and honor, not two separate gods side-by-side like humans.
Colossians 2:9 nails it: ‘For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.’
Isaiah 9:6 calls the child born ‘The mighty God, The everlasting Father.’
The Bible teaches one God (Deut. 6:4; 1 Cor. 8:4), yet reveals three who are called God and do what only God does: Father, Son (the Word), and Holy Ghost — and these three are one (1 John 5:7 KJV).
Matthew 28:19 baptizes in the singular ‘name’ of all three.
This isn’t ‘God sitting next to Himself’ in a confusing way — it’s the eternal triune God, one in essence, three in Person.
The ‘God-Family’ idea adding more beings later doesn’t match the eternal oneness in Scripture.
What matters most: Have you trusted Christ alone for salvation by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 3-5)?
That’s the Gospel I stand on.
Let’s talk more if you’d like — iron sharpens iron.”
