I am a firm believer that this should be recommended. Learning @IstioMesh resources are non trivial, it is best to have platform owner hides the complexity and provide simple consumable templates for service owners. @esnible @dancberg @louiscryan @rshriram @nrjpoddar @SvenMawson

This is a biggie, Kubernetes & Istio & everything else is complex. We took the decision to abstract product teams from that and build a PaaS style platform on top, the level of consistency this has given us has been key.
