The Curtis Cup is underway, and there is ample opportunity to watch the best women amateurs compete at Bel-Air Country Club on Sky this weekend. It brings back memories of the 2024 edition at Sunningdale, which gave us a quite wonderful weekend of golf. To whet the appetite for this year’s match, our Amateur Correspondent Hugo Cornell has put pen to paper. Read here: bit.ly/444Tuyp

A week tomorrow, our Championship Committee will reconvene for the Summer Meeting at The Addington. They operate on a diet of amateurism, over-excitement and an impressive inability to see how their own overcomplicated formats have come back to bite them, but we would not have it any other way.

Tomorrow, we head up to Scotland for our Longest Day Challenge: playing every hole on the Isle of Arran in a single day. A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated to Arran Cancer Support, a wonderful cause that means so much to the island. We’ll be keeping you updated on our progress via our Instagram story, and if you would like to make a donation and have not already done so, the link is below: bit.ly/4wTkCxx

Blackwell at its absolute mintiest. Two days of foursomes golf with the course and clubhouse absolutely sparkling. Seeing the course like that just shows what an incredible transformation has taken place over the last 10 years.
No two days better encapsulate the spirit of our club than the Blackwell Foursomes, and this year was another superb event. Congratulations to the Wigorns on winning for the third time, defeating Deal in a thrilling final in which all three games went the distance.

Three years since his last appearance on the pod, @JimHHartsell rejoins us to discuss his new book, 'A Round of Scottish Courses', which celebrates 18 of Jim’s most beloved, but often less celebrated, courses. The likes of Aberfoyle may not be on too many bucket lists, places such as Iona and Harris require some serious commitment to reach, while bigger names like Cruden Bay and Prestwick quite rightly hold a special place in Jim’s heart. 🎧 apple.co/4dHYX3X

The course that hosted the first dozen Open Championships was brought back to life last month for Prestwick locals to see the course that Young and Old Tom won their eight Claret Jugs on. This is every hole on the original 12 hole layout at @PrestwickGC 👇 A thread 🧵
