Yesterday, Mayor @oliviachow sent back the plan to cap the number of app-based rideshare drivers.
After hearing concerns from dozens of speakers, including taxi drivers, it's clear that this plan still has many gaps and loopholes to address. 1/2

John Tory is more than just an Uber “fan.” He’s a superfan.
Since the Mayor’s first term, his staff have lobbied councillors to loosen taxi regulations & remove driver safety training to allow Uber to operate legally.
Of course, Uber will be closely monitoring the Oct election.
