When a second wick hits a key level and rejects, high confluence it’s going lower still. Great short trade. $NQ

One bad thing about social media is there seem to be little to no concept of restraint. Maybe it’s how I was brought up, but restraint in what you say and what you do was a prized virtue. You don’t need to share your opinion on everything, and you don’t need to have an opinion on everything. Show me, rather than tell me.

I hate the phrase “x $ wiped out.” No, money is never truly wiped out. It is simply transferred from one ledger to another. It doesn’t disappear.

Been driving a hybrid car the last three months, and I’m sold on it.

Made what I needed the first thirty minutes of trading. Now it’s just me and the 60 year old retirees on the golf course.

In a stroke of happenstance, I sold all my positions earlier this week and went all cash. After today, wow. Good thing I did.

I think people are too much in denial about just how much the world is changed or how much prices have gone up for everything. We shouldn’t be satisfied only with cutting back, and it shouldn’t have to take side gigs or more jobs to make ends meet. Sooner or later we need to stop and do an accounting as to why?

A big reason I chose day trading was I was not making ends meet, and I wanted to get out of debts I had that even my corporate job was slowly helping me to do. I also wanted a life long skill where I knew I could generate income when I need it, no matter the circumstances. And with how prices are now, I’m glad I made the leap. The income from that and my job allows me to put money aside for the higher prices and save for the future.

If you want change, you need to get to a point where you can’t stand being where you are anymore, pick a goal and then do whatever it takes to start towards it. I spent years researching how to make money, how to do college from home because I was working, how to dress well, etc. What I have in life now and building is from years of not giving up.

You don’t need a $1 million portfolio to retire if you have cash flow streams that can pay you over five figures a month.

If you get a chance, ride in a @Waymo. I exclusively used them in LA yesterday, and loved it.

I’m a bit of a “if it works, use it” kind of person. I do think most financial advice is great for most people most of the time. But I think we limit ourselves because of fear of judgment. Example: there’s great advice about not cashing out 401k plans or getting loans against them. But when I was in dire straits and repairing my credit, my 401k was the only pool of capital I could access to help me change my life. I took out a 401k loan to help with my trading business. A year later, I made 20x what I borrowed. No bank would’ve lent me the money based on how risky it is to day trade. Sometimes you have to think of different ways to hack success.
