Tlc is like MJB. They never really left the black audience and stayed in that r&b/new jack swing sound. DC became more mainstream bc they were a mix of both pop and r&b, kinda like the supremes and the jackson 5. Nothing wrong with either

TLC LITERALLY was not only Billboard's TOP MUSIC ACT of 1995 but they also were the most popular girl group of the 1990s in general. DC did not really pop off until 1999 and then on, dominating the 2000s. Both of them are the Best Selling Black Girl Groups of All Time.

This is like comparing apples & oranges. DC are better singers, but TLC is a better group they touched on a lot topics from racism, gangs, safe sex, dv, sa, death, & self love and each member got an era where they shine Left Eye has OOTTLCT, T-Boz has CSC, & Chilli has Fanmail

This was also their most balanced album. Meaning, it wasn't just a mix of great singles and forgettable (& lowkey unlistenable) album cuts. The album cuts were just as good as the singles. However the singles from this album weren't as good as the singles from the first 2 albums

I just finished 'Forever'. Here's my thoughts
- their first album where the singles didn't do the heavy lifting
- There was legit not one bad song on here. I was grooving!!!!
