You know your job is excitingly global when the iPhone won't let you add a location to the World Clock unless you delete one... and you can't! @projectseahorse@IUCNSeahorse@SSCmarine
So grateful to @PICRCPalau and the people of Palau or letting us work on their incredible reefs…and to this good-looking bunch of legends for welcoming me onto the team @Coralassist_Lab@LeverhulmeTrust

Advice from @SeabirdCentre:
"Please do not touch dead or injured birds.
If you come across an injured or ill seabird please contact SSPCA: 03000 999 999
Please report dead birds to DEFRA: 03459 33 55 77"
We’ve had several reports of dead or injured #gannets in #EastLothian today. This may be a natural event but due to the current outbreak of avian flu at Shetland seabird colonies, the situation is being closely monitored by @NatureScot and Government.
To the women working with the lab: Jenny, Abi and Maicey, we look forward to watching your journeys. To @countingfishes who keeps science going & thank you to the wonderful men in our lab who contribute to ocean conservation whilst supporting a safe and equitable space for women.
... Hanna Jabour Christ who completed a 1st class honours on functional ecology of pelagic species … watch this space for the paper. @Shona__Murray who has progressed her PhD whilst COVID-stuck in the UK and still continues her work on IUCN Vulnerable silky sharks.
On #InternationalWomensDay the Marine Futures Lab would like to celebrate the achievements of our women researchers contributing to ocean conservation. @BiolSci_UWA
...@NaimasOcean who published on endangered hammerheads and media raises attention on protection.
So good to see the #CoP26 announcement of the Eastern Tropical Pacific Marine Corridor #CMAR marine park. It will protect an ocean highway across the ocean territories of Columbia, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Panama. We continue to deploy our #BRUVS across the region @NG_PristineSeas
The #GlobalOceanWildlifeAnalysisNetwork is a series of #BRUVS across 10 #UKOTs incl: Pitcairn, Ascension, St Helena, Tristan da Cunha, BIOT & BAT.
The network will collect vital information on marine life and support OTs to grow understanding of their marine environment #COP26
Want to know how technology is supporting Tristan da Cunha's Areas To Be Avoided?Satellite,NovaSAR-1, visible infrared imaging radiometer suites & the Blue Belt Shared Intelligence Hub (BBSIH) are working to minimise risks from maritime accidents: bit.ly/3DxVnnV@GO_ASHT
Tristan da Cunha secure landmark achievement for the protection of their marine environment, as:
