When trying these three next to each other, you get a load of similarity. #3 Yesteryear. Nose: Sweet pastry and Playdoh, custard tarts and soft spice. Palate: Cinnamon-spiced pastry and mint imperials. Finish: More mints and cinnamon toast #TLDCWhisky
Time for #2: Embarque. Nose: more custardy notes, as well as well-done-but-not-burnt toast, cherry jam, Mr Kipling Country Slices. Palate: Dark, singed raisins and char, soft spice, dark chocolate and minty hints. Finish: minty dark choc and char #TLDCWhisky
Kicking off with Ten Times Round the Sun. Only been waiting 12 years for this. Nose: Custard tarts, a hint of lime, cinnamon toast and brown sugar. Palate: Loads of brown sugar (almost US rye-like) bready grain and hints of mint choc. Finish: Minty with more chocolate #TLDCWhisky
Masterclass tickets are now live on our website, these won’t be around long as spaces for each are extremely limited.
A fantastic opportunity to get familiar with the brand ambassadors, their whisky and the award winning authors.

Continuing the Livery's successful programme of outreach and education, a team of Liverymen led by Past Master Martin Riley recently delivered The Business of Spirits course to a group from the Gin Guild.
Thrilled to share this great photo of @CircleofWine members @TheLarderat36@ToshioUeno and committee member @cowfish judging together at the American Distilling Institute International Spirits Competition in Tiburon, California.
It’s a Sunday after a couple of beers plan, but my new life goal is to be able to play Symphony of Destruction by Megadeth (on guitar obvs) while smoking a pipe. The Derek Smalls/Dave Mustaine crossover point is where I increasingly see myself as a musician. But with less hair.
Some days, it is reassuring to be reminded of the existence of the excellent Irving Finkel. The most amusing ancient historian? Good beard, too #lifegoalsyoutube.com/watch?v=s_fkpZSn…
Delighted to feature @CircleofWine Committee Member @cowfish who does a wonderful job as the Circle’s Webmaster. Billy is a drinks writer & educator, with a particular interest in Whisky, Asian Spirits and Beer. He is Ambassador & Training Manager for @WhiskyExchange.
22 days since my last refund on a train journey from Glasgow to London, and yet again I'm playing with the Delay Repay website. Only 40 minutes late this time by the looks of things, but just late enough for me to miss my ongoing train by 1 minute. Fun times. I still <3 trains.
I’ve not watched the WWDC broadcast for a long time. Is this actually as unaware as it seems if you take it at face value, or is it a knowing piss take of itself?
Over to you, Craig!
<cue yet another POWER STANCE>
There’s a strange point during a delayed train journey where you start praying for a few extra minutes delay so you get a full refund rather than 50%… Can 8 minutes from Watford to Kings X be done? I hope not…
What a pleasure to share this photo of very talented @CircleofWine Chairperson @Winbeebee, Committee member @cowfish and members @HerrGorn and @carolineroddis judging Scotch together at @thespiritmasters series. Our members really do get everywhere.
