Replying to @darrellcurrietv
@darrellcurrietv is a remarkable guy. So much talent and fighting a cruel mystery illness for so long now. Darrell is the UK’s bravest broadcaster and still one of its best. Impeccably prepped for every assignment.

So, the @USMNT were excellent last night, really good. Paraguay despite good results in Quali were not. That being said it’s all going to come down to who the US get in the knockout rounds and how they perform. But a great way to start any tournament never mind a WC on home soil.

Germany were 5-0 up against Brazil in a WC semi final in Brazil at HT. This is out of control already 🤷‍♂️
"I cannot believe what my eyes have just seen... The first half was as good as I've seen any national team play in any tournament, let alone the World Cup" @herculezg and @ESPNFC had high praise for the USMNT after a 4-1 win over Paraguay.

A few months ago, I embarked on a quest to speak to 48 World Cup footballers past and present: one from each nation at this year's finals. It was a mission & a joy. This is what it means, through the decades and across the planet, to play at the World Cup: thetimes.com/sport/football/…

If this is not a red card for Foden, then I don't why Man City fans are complaining about Havertz today vs Burnley

Stevie on Salah.
"To do this now, right at the end of [Salah's] time at Liverpool, I think is complete and utter madness...he has shown in that statement, he doesn't have the class of his former veterans at Liverpool, who showed absolute class" Liverpool legend Steve Nicol sounds off on his disappointment in Mohamed Salah's recent statement @ESPNFC

I have zero interest in the “abandonment” conversation. Celtic won the game and the league. I have plenty in the fact said game ended because of the antics of supporters. And how on earth we got to this point. Not good enough. theguardian.com/football/202…
