As part of World No Tobacco Day 2026, the regional webinar “Products Designed to Target New Generations: Exposing the Tactics of the Tobacco and Nicotine Industries” was held this week, bringing together more than 400 participants from across Latin America. The event was organized by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (CTFK), Corporate Accountability, and Vital Strategies.
During the webinar, Patricia Sosa, Associate Vice President for Latin America and the Caribbean at Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, moderated a session focused on industry marketing strategies, regulatory approaches to nicotine pouches, and efforts to hold the tobacco industry accountable for the harms caused by its products.
