Sunday
Your reminder to rest.
This is your last reminder cos I am starting a New Adventure, and need to cut back on some things.
So rest well, rest often, rest together and rest apart. It's a good and helpful thing.
You are loved, you are valued, you are enough.
Rest.

Sunday.
Your reminder to rest.
We have a Labrador named Doodle, and she is remarkably good at resting. She has decided that the giant soft teddy we bought from IKEA is an excellent dog bed.
What can you turn into a resting thing?
Also, show me your resting pets!

ALT Yellow Labrador sleeping on a giant brown teddy bear. You can only see half her face and one ear. The background is a messy living room.
I have been doing a little colouring in one of those books, and I did a little outlining and shading. And it's the details like that that often make a thing come alive.
I'm not sure what that's representative of, but I thought maybe someone would like the reminder.

It's Sunday.
It's also Christmas Eve.
The waiting & the wondering.
And in the middle of it all,
The reminder to rest.
This year we needed a small Christmas & all the feelings we ignored in past years have taken up the space. I let them be, an act of radical acceptance & hope.
Sunday.
Your reminder to rest.
When the going is good, it's easy to stop and rest because it's easy to start again.
But when everything is a struggle, it can be hard to allow ourselves to stop. What if we lose all that progress? What if we can't start again?
Rest bravely.

Sunday
Your weekly reminder to rest.
From our WhatsApp chat last night, I have been thinking about when there are not safe spaces to be ourselves. That doesn't mean we don't have the right to exist. God made us as much as anyone else.
Just breathe. And be.
And try to hope.
Sunday.
Your reminder to rest.
The other evening, I lay down next to my dog for easier delivery of scritches. I ended up lying quietly on the floor with my feet on the sofa.
It was less about scritches and more about being.
My dog knows a thing or two about rest.

It's Sunday, peeps
Which means your reminder to rest.
We are heading into a frantic season of pressure to be Festive and Jolly.
Sometimes we just need to pause
Take a moment to breathe
Take an hour to feel whatever without judgement
And know we are loved.
Always, we are loved.
In addition to the Zoomie tonight (normal link, DM for more information) we also have the following dates scheduled.
ALT Upcoming dates
9 December WhatsApp
30 December Claire's Bible Story Thing

It's Sunday.
This is your reminder to rest.
In the middle of the joy and sadness,
Whether everything is coming together or falling apart,
Rest.
Take moments to
Breathe
And know it's your being not your doing that is enough.
Even now, you are beloved.
Rest.

When Creative-ish people collaborate, it sometimes looks a bit like this. Balloons everywhere! My house has been full of them and it's been a delight.

Sunday.
Remembrance Sunday.
You still need a reminder to rest.
I'm still frustrated by the futility of war.
Let's hold each other up in our prayers, shall we?
Rox
We're meeting on WhatsApp for a text based chat at half past 7, GMT this evening.
Probably loosely based on the theme of Paper, but taking in all sorts of creativity and tangents.
If you'd like to join us, and you're not part of our WhatsApp group, send us a message.
Sunday.
Your reminder to rest.
Like the trees in winter
Like the bats in daytime
Everything and everyone needs rest now and then - some of us more than others.
That doesn't make you a failure or diminish your value.
You are still beloved.
I hope you can rest today.
Rox
Esther. A person who's exploits are celebrated in a "Remember When" to this day.
We can't all live on such grand scales but we can celebrate and acknowledge the moments that have made a difference.
Moments of encouragement, but also standing up for things.
What are yours?
Rox
Today’s a good day to make art 🌞so here’s some woven inspo. Perhaps my favorite pairing of the “A Woven Year” project. Which one is your favorite of these 9?
