Incredible team to work with, and excited to partner on solving traffic together!!
Storey County is advancing an infrastructure project to address traffic congestion along Interstate 80 and within the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center.
On April 21, the Board of County Commissioners directed staff to move forward with improvements at the I-80/Patrick Interchange in coordination with the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and Tesla.
The project includes extending the westbound on-ramp at Patrick by nearly a half-a-mile to improve merging conditions, reduce congestion, and enhance safety for all users of this regional corridor, including commuters, freight movement, and employees traveling through the area.
This effort is part of a broader regional strategy that includes NDOT’s long-term I-80 widening project and other coordinated traffic improvements across the region.
The project is designed to improve safety and mobility for all users of the I-80 corridor.
In addition, Storey County has implemented several traffic improvements, including new traffic signals on USA Parkway and Electric Avenue, expanded stop control within the TRI-Center, and coordination with the Washoe Regional Transportation Commission on regional connector studies.
Updates will be shared as the project progresses.
