Cardano is going to have the fastest, most secure, feature-rich blockchain in the history of the world! ....just hope there are people still left to use it. This governance cycle made one thing very clear and I still hold hope it can be fixed before it's too late. Users matter. "If you build it, they will come" is a relic of the past and shit needs to change.

I put my entire life into Cardano. My time, my expertise, my savings. I’ve literally gone all in, and for over 5 years now. No salary for 3 years, along with my co founder, and every payroll was paid on time. This isn’t meant as a guilt trip just context towards my reality. I forced my cofounders to envelope the ‘entrepreneur mindset’ and make sacrifices to make our vision of Anvil work. I thought we were in good company in Cardano. A bunch of scrappy, smart people who are building the future financial rails of the world. Unfortunately, not everyone was living like starving entrepreneurs and looted our community/treasury while keeping cushy salaries. Now the price is in the teens…and we can’t even get contracts on Cardano to sustain our business, with no indication that change is coming, all community business proposals are not passing atm. I gave up my 30s for this. I had a great career trajectory making solid money. I don’t regret the decision I just wish it went different. Believe it or not, we didn’t make many stupid decisions, we were responsible with salaries, and ran very lean operations. Did we fail? Or did Cardano fail to flourish and create real opportunity? I bought Ada, I believed in the token. I dropped my 401k on it. Held it religiously for 5 years, all to sell at .16 so I don’t lose my house? It’s insane lol was I supposed to sell on everyone’s heads? I thought being a believer was the whole point now I just feel like a sheep. I don’t even have the 100k Ada required anymore to go straight to the treasury. The only thing I can think of that hurt worse were my kidney stones. This is the most defeated I have felt in a long time. And now I’m watching 8 months of hard work and relationship building get thrown away. Can’t get a hold of half the DReps otherwise you come off as annoying. Didn’t do a Japan tour? Good luck! I had to waste 6 days explaining to one of our top DReps why the product needs Cardano. He basically said we didn’t need to use blockchain or cardano. Instead of explaining the value we create I gotta convince our top DReps why a project chose to build on Cardano? 🤯 Im not perfect but I damn sure tried to be! Answered everyone promptly, reached out to DReps, and did our best to listen/apply feedback. I show up everyday. Can someone explain to me why I should keep trying to build here? I’ve legit lost everything but my wife who isn’t getting any happier with me. Today is the first day I work towards getting my life back. IDK exactly what that means but I’m done feeling like this for nothing.

Yesterday the maybe most unexpected moment of my professional career so far happened. I was invited to the German Parliament to speak at a panel about Agent-To-Agent Payments using Blockchain. An absolutely unreal moment. The room was packed with politician & businesses. I spoke about our work with Masumi, the work with Serviceplan, how companies are hiring & selling agents on our agent marketplace today already and why we chose to build on Cardano. How does Cardano work? What is its consensus mechanism? @Cardano uses a uniquely energy-efficient, peer-reviewed Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism called Ouroboros. Instead of relying on energy-intensive mining hardware, Ouroboros selects validators (known as slot leaders) to create new blocks based on the amount of cryptocurrency (ADA) they hold and stake in the network. Waves Studio, a design company, and I were discussing how there aren't many short, informative videos out there explaining basic concepts for new users anymore. i'm glad that cardano's continued research proposal from iog passed on chain that seeks to continue to position cardano as a research leader in the field of web3 and beyond arguably - in the era of ai acceleration/continued exploits left and right across protocols - this foundational principle of provable security is going to be fundamental difference between success and failure that ecosystem can rely and build atop long term let's see how this unfold in practice would be great to have periodic research progress town halls/presentations/AMAs as time passes and give spotlight to these amazing researchers first hand that i've also come to work with over the years - fantastic work they've done that often goes taken for granted automatically good luck! (to us all) --- approved proposal is anchored around 3 priorities: 1. Human-centred design improves usability, incentives, and governance participation through enhanced DevEx (e.g. decentralized APIs), better SPO alignment, and reduced user friction via intent-based interaction. 2. Scalability is addressed through a layered architecture combining consensus improvements (Leios/Peras integration), L2 execution and ZK-enabled scaling, and mid-term research like sharding. 3. Post-quantum security ensures long-term resilience through evaluation and migration of quantum-resistant cryptographic primitives, supported by a cross-cutting roadmap spanning security, transaction efficiency, ZK/L2 infrastructure, and partner chains. The programme is organised into 7 work packages aligned to ecosystem outcomes: WP1 Trust Security & Reliability Infrastructure WP2 Scalability & Execution Layer WP3 Developer Platform & User Experience WP4 Applications, Adoption & Liquidity WP5 Economic Systems & Incentives WP6 Governance, Identity & Social Infrastructure WP7 Delivery, Dissemination & Partnerships. proposal delivers 42 outputs across the innovation pipeline: - 38 papers and technical reports at early TRL - 8 Cardano Problem Statements (CPS) - 12 prototypes at mid-TRL (including Leios/Peras integration designs, dynamic fee mechanisms, SPO incentive models, and a decentralised Babel fee marketplace); - 5 Cardano Improvement Proposals (CIPs) enabling implementation in identity services, ZK-enabled L2 scalability, and post-quantum security.

The UTXO model is more complex than the account model, but I think its utility is far greater in many ways. This is one of the reasons I'm long-term bullish on Cardano.
