Here's my review of
@coca_card ๐ณ:
โ
โ
โ
โ
โ A few quirks, but lots of potential
โ
Generous fee structure. ~0.6% spread when USDC -> local currency, and 0% when you spend in USD.
โ
0% Transaction Fees, 0% Load Fee
โ
Cashback is 1% on the Free Tier, you can max it at โฌ300 per month (based on spend limit).
If you stake some
$COCA, you can get up to 8% cashback with max potential of โฌ1,000 per month. That's lots more than other crypto cards offer.
โ
Self-custodial card via Privy, nice
โ
Free ATM withdrawals of up to โฌ250 per month
โ Card is issued by
@wirexapp, it's on a GBP-denominated BIN. This is a bit of an additional jump when you spend in local currency like AED, BRL etc.
USDC -> USD spend is 1:1 for you
EURC -> EUR spend is also 1:1 for you
but USDC -> AED (BRL, TRY etc) will go via GBP.
so USDC -> GBP -> local currency.
โ ๏ธ TLDR: Even though fx fee is 0%, you will pay ~0.6% spread to exchange USDC to local currency.
โ30,000 EUR monthly spend limit is good enough for small users, but will never be enough for crypto traders, freelancers, etc.
โ I rated support at 8.4/10, but while they reply to emails quite fast (~2-3h), they would sometimes ignore my follow ups, and feel a bit .. hm.. inefficient. I wish there would be a chatbot with AI that draws from the knowledge base and then redirects to a human. Oh, knowledge base is a bit outdated too.
Overall - nice card, supports a few countries that needs this solution the most: ๐บ๐ฆ Ukraine, ๐น๐ท Turkey, ๐ณ๐ฌ Nigeria, ๐ป๐ณ Vietnam, ๐ฎ๐ฑ Israel. (Total 75 countries)
Anything you would add?
