This is an interesting and insightful story about how a project team can illegally freeze your coins worth a huge sum and ignore your messages. On September 20, 2024, I created liquidity in the FOG-USDT pool and placed a limit order on 1inch to purchase FOG tokens for 30,000 USDT. The limit order was fully executed for 2.94M tokens (
etherscan.io/tx/0x378c4bb321…). These turned out to be tokens from the hack of the
#bingx exchange. The purchase price was below market value, but I accepted the risks knowing that liquidity in the market was very low and that it would take a long time to sell them. I bought them at $0.01, while the market price was around $0.03-0.04. I sent the tokens to
$MEXC and sold part of them there, after which the exchange blocked my account for investigation. They checked my account and fully unblocked it since they found no reason to keep it locked. By that time,
$FOG deposits on the
$Bingx and MEXC exchanges had been disabled. Some time later, on October 7, the Bingx exchange reopened
$FOG deposits, and after a while,
$MEXC followed suit. I logged into my hot wallet and realized I couldn’t send the tokens. I started investigating and found out that the Fognet Deployer had blocked 4 addresses containing FOG. Two of them were mine, and one was MEXC exchange's wallet… lol… I was shocked, as at that point the value of my remaining tokens was around $200k. I wrote to the Fognet project chat on Telegram, but no one responded for several days. I kept writing daily, and my messages were periodically deleted. I messaged the admin directly, but he also didn’t respond. After several messages, the admin finally replied, asking for the origin of the funds. I sent all the transaction links proving that I had legally purchased the tokens and that I am not a hacker. Then I received a message: "The wallet address in question contains hacked funds and is under legal investigation. The legal team will officially contact you." That was on October 9, and since then, no one has replied to me, and my messages in the chat are still being deleted. As of now, the value of my tokens has reached $400k. I am shocked by the team's behavior and cannot understand how such a situation can be allowed. It turns out the team can freeze any holder with a large sum at their discretion. Crypto really is the Wild West.
I urge the project team to contact me and discuss further steps for resolving this matter. You know how to reach me.
upd: Admin blocked and deleted the chat in tg. Also I'm blocked in fognet chat.
