Recognized throughout North Carolina and nationally for the success of the GRBC, Coach West guided Garner Road Basketball Club to become one of the top AAU programs in the nation. Under his leadership, over 200 athletes have earned college scholarships, and 20 players have played professionally. Coach West is lauded throughout the amateur ranks due to his knowledge and experience. Coach West coined the phrase “Built By Design” and solidified the clubs place in the AAU space. He's a 3-time Hall of Famer, which includes Jersey City State College (New Jersey City University) in 1994, New Jersey HOF in 2023, and a 2018 AAU induction.
