i'm not saying that the force of our 100 guitars created atmospheric reverberations that traveled over 24 hours to San Antonio where they interfered in some subtle but crucial way with the arcs of Dylan Harper's fourth-quarter free throws but i'm not not saying that
Cannot imagine a more perfect new york weekend going from glenn branca symphony for 100 guitars into knicks win

i'm playing in the 100-guitar Glenn Branca Symphony 13 performance tonight. it's officially sold out but...
Replying to @sublimebombast
they said at rehearsal today that there will likely be plentiful standby tickets if you just wanna show up!

when Garcia Peoples and Doug Shaw toured the country together in 2022 we played "Tonight's the Night" together pretty much every night. here's one from Denver. sounds pretty fucking good if I do say so. love you bro youtube.com/watch?v=oAS_iZ7t…

about Doug Shaw: people should know that he died of a stroke. word started going out before the autopsy came back and so there has been some ambiguity about the cause. people may make assumptions about the sudden death of a young musican but this was not something self-inflicted.

I wrote this about my dear friend Doug Shaw last year. He died this week, which doesn’t seem possible. In case you want to know more about him— hearingthings.co/doug-shaw-g…

this is going to sound like a lie, but when I lived down the street in 2012-13, an older guy with a limp and a raspy voice once came up and asked if I was looking for work, because he could use a guy like me

i love many of these records (a lot!) but this pretty much nails the taste of a generalist record collector type whose interest in jazz is ancillary to their interest in rock. few albums from before 1960, pretty much all original compositions rather than jazz repertoire

Jazz aficionados and connoisseurs, what is your view of Piero Scaruffi's list of the 20 greatest jazz albums? I should say that my posting of this list does not imply my agreement with it. I say this because last time I posted something by him it caused an internet storm.

happy to clarify the morally correct position here: Tony Hinchcliffe is a hack, Shane Gillis is funny, the stuff that got Gillis kicked off SNL was beneath him, and Chelsea Handler is mad because Gillis called her a Zionist who supports the killing of children
ugly stuff

I would love to live in a world where 'Eureka' is so widely regarded as a masterpiece that calling it overrated might be reasonable
Overrated albums Not necessarily bad (though some of these are)
