ALT Dianne Cook is a Professor of Statistics in the Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. She holds a PhD in Statistics from Rutgers University. Her research focuses on statistical graphics, especially interactive visualization of high-dimensional data and statistical inference for visualization, and she incorporates these topics into her teaching. Di is a strong advocate for open source software, ethical data practices, and gender equity. Many of the R packages she contributes to are named after Australian wildlife—highlighting both a connection to place and a celebration of the country’s unique and threatened species

ALT Ché Smith is a data enthusiast whose career spans multiple industries, from public health to tech, all connected by a passion for uncovering insights amid uncertainty. She is currently a Senior Analytics Engineer at Netflix, where she helps shape content strategy by refining how performance metrics are understood and applied.Ché holds a BS in Mathematics from Spelman College and a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She began her career working with local and state health departments to analyze and communicate public health data in innovative ways. She later served as a mathematical statistician at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, reviewing oncology and hematology drug applications. Inspired by the power of mentorship and community, Ché is passionate about helping women in data science and statistics grow their confidence, share their stories, and support each other as they navigate their careers and make an impact around the world.

ALT Dr. Sherlene Enriquez-Savery serves as Vice President for Academics at the University ofBelize, a position she has held since August 2021. Her distinguished career at the university spans over two decades, beginning in August 2003, during which she has demonstrated exceptional leadership across multiple academic and administrative roles. Dr. Enriquez-Savery earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Belize, followed by a Master of Science in Mathematics from Clemson University in South Carolina. She further advanced her academic pursuits with a Master of Arts degree in Statistics from the University of South Florida and culminated her distinguished educational journey with a Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics and Statistics, also from the University of South Florida.Dr. Enriquez-Savery's distinguished leadership philosophy centers on evidence-based decision making, comprehensive stakeholder engagement, and continuous institutional improvement.

ALT Bonnie Ghosh-Dastidar is a senior statistician at RAND working in public policy; she also leads the RAND Statistics Group. Ghosh-Dastidar’s experience includes being lead statistician for large-scale surveys on sexual assault and harassment in the U.S. military, as well as for the first Singapore mental health survey to assess national prevalence. Her current collaborations center on multiple National Institutes of Health studies leveraging quasi-experimental design to evaluate the effect of neighborhood-level change on residents’ diet, sleep, and cardiovascular health. She is a fellow of the ASA and has been recognized for her collaboration, leadership and mentoring. she was recently honored by the Penn State Eberly College of Science with the 2025 Outstanding Science Alumni award. Ghosh-Dastidar is the 119th president of the American Statistical Association.
