The Ohio Athletic Conference mourns the loss of former Commissioner Tim Gleason.
For 30 years (1991-2021), Tim led the OAC with unwavering dedication, becoming the conference's first full-time commissioner and helping shape the future of Division III athletics. His leadership, vision, and commitment to enhancing the student-athlete experience left a lasting impact on the OAC and collegiate athletics nationwide.
Tim's legacy lives on through the countless student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and institutions he influenced throughout his distinguished career. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, June 18, from 4-7 p.m. at Mineral Ridge High School and Friday, June 19, from 10-11:45 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Mineral Ridge, followed by the funeral service at noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mineral Ridge Scholarship Fund, where a Community Spirit Award will be established in Tim's memory to honor future Mineral Ridge students who exemplify dedication and service to their community.
Thank you for your service, leadership, and friendship, Commissioner Gleason. Your impact will never be forgotten. 💛
