Here is my new friend sneaking along the pondside. Didn't think it would get closer..never turn your back on a heron 😂

Had a new friend come join me this morning as I sat pondside in the park. A young grey heron wandered over whilst I was watching the crows feed their young. Stopped 10 feet away, caught a fish then followed me for a minute when I left. Was great!

Strangely find it quite relaxing to watch the grey herons keeping their feathers tip top.

My attention was elsewhere and I almost missed this roe deer fawn making it's way across the long grass at lochwinnoch yesterday behind mum. #MammalMonday
