OPM Foundation Rescues Undocumented Nigerian Children Living on Streets of Egypt By Kenneth Nwachi FOR the past five years, the Omega Power Ministries (OPM) Foundation, under the leadership of its founder and General Overseer, HRM King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, has been quietly waging a humanitarian battle far beyond Nigeria’s borders one that has brought relief to a forgotten population of Nigerian children stranded on the streets of Egypt. In Cairo, OPM foundation has intervened on behalf of undocumented Nigerian children who, through no fault of their own, have found themselves caught in a web of statelessness, poverty, and legal exclusion. The OPM Foundation has secured paid accommodation for the children, engaged a dedicated caregiver, established a free school, and ensured they are clothed and fed three meals daily. The root of the problem lies in the circumstances of the children’s birth. Most were born to undocumented Nigerian parents who lacked the legal standing to obtain birth certificates for their offspring. Without such documents, the children cannot access international travel papers, making it impossible for them to return to Nigeria. The consequence has been devastating. As their numbers grow on the streets of Cairo, these children are barred by Egyptian law from attending public schools or seeking employment. Without intervention, observers warn they face a future of destitution and vagrancy. It was against this backdrop that King Apostle chibuzor through the OPM FOUNDATION EGYPT BRANCH that is coordinated by Pastor Bartholomew, the foundation moved swiftly to provide both immediate relief and long-term solutions for the affected children. Beyond securing shelter and daily meals, a task complicated by Egypt’s practice of monthly rent payments, which the foundation has consistently honoured, OPM FOUNDATION opened a free school to transition the children from the streets to the classroom. OPM FOUNDATION has been paying house rent and feeding the children for five years, The free school was the next step to give them a future.” a source close to the foundation said. Apostle Chinyere has also taken the matter to official channels. And he instructed the Egypt Cordinator pastor Bartholomew oklalanwa to formally approached the Nigerian Embassy in Egypt, urging diplomatic intervention to facilitate travel documents for the stranded children, and has personally pledged to provide for them upon their return to Nigeria. He has further called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to pursue bilateral discussions with Egyptian authorities to find a lasting resolution to the crisis. The Egyptian intervention is only one chapter in the OPM Foundation’s growing record of social impact. Across Nigeria, the foundation has established 43 free schools, two free specialist hospitals, 18 free housing estates, a school for children with autism and Down syndrome, a free all-girls technical college, and a free skills acquisition centre all dedicated to the less privileged. Closer to home, the foundation provides shelter to scores of underprivileged Nigerians, of whom approximately 60 per cent have already graduated from its programmes while others remain enrolled in its free schools or are currently attending university. The OPM Foundation is the humanitarian arm of Omega Power Ministries, headquartered in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Yesterday federal government of Nigeria sent some delegates to visit the South African returnees in OPM free estates. They collected all there data and visited the ones in OPM free hospital undergoing free treatment. And they also visited one of 18 OPM free estates and collected there information were they are staying. They were lead by the director of DSS. They did not want photographs to be taken of them. As promised by me, I promised to feed them once a day, but because of the children we are now feeding 3 times a day. And also promised to enroll all there children into one of the 43 OPM free school. By the grace of GOD, they started OPM free school, both secondary and primary school today Monday 15 June 2026. The OPM free school bus takes them to school and returns them. Breaking news… South African returnees just arrived opm free estate in port harcourt. As I just entered Nigeria yesterday, today 12 June some of the South African returnees arrived. So we now moved them to one of the 18 OPM free estates. Then they dropped there bags and were taken to OPM free hospital for full medical check up because how we saw there health condition. Few things were discovered, but they will be going back to the hospital tomorrow. They were also feed in the opm free hospital, because OPM CHURCH also have opm free restaurant inside the OPM free hospital for only patients. Then we bought provisions like Milo, Mike , 2 bags of rice for each family, pot, plates, soup, etc And tailor has taken the measurements for there school uniform as those in primary and secondary school starts one of the 43 OPM free school on Monday.
