Bad as the Nigerian economy is, it is not the major threat to the country; terrorism is.
It cuts down, with impunity, civilians and soldiers, men and women, young and old.
Unfortunately, the state is so failed that terrorism is not punished but rewarded with state pardon, negotiations and incentives (rehabilitation/deradicalization/reintegration).
To underscore how deeply rooted this ideology has become, most Nigerian politicians (and even battle tested military generals) craftily shy away from the subject and conveniently choose political correctness, even against the glaring fact of genocidal massacres and proliferation of Islamist militia groups - now aggressively asserting presence in Southern Nigeria.
Until we build courage to NOT ONLY confront this satanic ideology - both its radical and political wings - BUT ALSO demonstrate the moral will to ruthlessly crush it and
#Restore the value of human life, even the best economic policies are useless in today’s Nigeria.
