If schools are going to have students on computers, parents should have the ability to see EVERY site their child went to on any given day, and how long they were on it. The technology to do this exists, but districts are afraid parents will see their child on YouTube all day long, every day.

Hey kids, more evidence that AI is not for getting answers to homework assignments:
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

Some great graphs on these storm drains But also interesting that they say “250 kN” which would be 250,000 Newtons, or approximately 56,000 lbs That’s like 5 elephants

Be hard working. Learn skills. Invest a little every paycheck.
A man working as a welder at SpaceX for $28 an hour has just become a millionaire. Juan Hernandez, who came from Mexico, welded rockets for SpaceX at $28 an hour. SpaceX gave him $10,000 in stock when he went full time in 2015, and he bought more with every paycheck for 10 years. $SPCX is now trading at $167, making his shares worth over $1 million.

Just published a really fun @Makedo research lesson on castles! Students will research castles with primary sources (as a former librarian, I made an embedded libguide for ya'll in the slides!) and then build their own castle! hub.make.do/education/sel-le…
