For one night, gunfire shattered the comfort of America’s media elite and terror was undeniable. But for journalists in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and beyond, that terror has been constant. Too many U.S. outlets treat the killing of reporters by Israel as routine instead of the global crisis it is. If the press wants to reclaim its purpose, it must speak just as loudly for the reporters being buried abroad as for those ducking for cover in Washington.

This is a crime - against the Palestinians, against nature and they are doing it in the dark, obviously not proud about it.
Israeli settlers, alongside Israeli forces, uprooted more than 400 olive trees since this morning in the village of Turmus Ayya in the West Bank. The uprooting is still ongoing as of 4 a.m. local time in Palestine.

Israel destroyed the statue of Jesus Christ in the Christian village of Debel, South Lebanon. Now they’re bulldozing the solar panels that provide electricity and water. Not military targets. Critical infrastructure. This is the deliberate targeting of civilian life.

This is Dr Dale from Western Canada. Our trial right now is the weather - we're "snowed in" we can't get anywhere because the snow had filled our yard. Yet we aren't threatened by bombs.

There are no words to normalize children finding play in a war zone. In Northern Iraq a decade ago, I was looking at had woven rugs for sale - found one with an brightly coloured attractive design only to see up close that it was machine guns repeated over and over again.

The future needs researchers - especially those who win their degrees under duress.
When I defended my Master’s thesis under the bombing and rubble of Gaza, the very first question I was asked was: “Why defend it under these circumstances? What benefit will it bring you now?” I smiled and answered: “Maybe I will die holding this degree, maybe it will be a symbol of resilience and strength, and maybe I will inspire others not to abandon their dreams — even in danger, even when death is near.” This is who I am. I am proud of what I did. Proud that I defended my Master’s during the war. Proud to have become a Palestinian researcher ✌️
