For one night, gunfire shattered the comfort of America’s media elite and terror was undeniable. But for journalists in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and beyond, that terror has been constant. Too many U.S. outlets treat the killing of reporters by Israel as routine instead of the global crisis it is.
If the press wants to reclaim its purpose, it must speak just as loudly for the reporters being buried abroad as for those ducking for cover in Washington.
