I love people watching, they should make a tour where you can go through people’s homes and see how they live their mundane day to day

Mind you Israel refused to let her leave for 3 months causing the amputations
A year ago, the world met Habiba al-Askari, a three-year-old toddler in Gaza fighting for her life. @JomanaCNN and @AbeerSalmanCNN's reporting resulted in Habiba's medical evacuation to Amman. CNN returned to Jordan this year to reunite with little Habiba and her family.

Funny how this rhetoric is used to rebute every resistance movement, as if revolters rejoice in killing. Violence that preserves unequal order is inconspicuously acceptable, but when it’s used to overthrow those in power, it’s immoral.

Chateaubriand is such a monarchist bootlicker but man do I love his writing, he writes as if he paints and every layer reveals more meaning

Burial is a very symbolic practice, the act of interring grief and creating a place where mourning can be revisited. The occupation desecrates our graves, displaces our people and disposes of them without a trace. They rob us of the ability to move on.

I’ve come full circle and I don’t believe in therapy anymore. I understand my parents now. Our people aren’t unpacking a cognitive or behavioural pattern, they’re mourning generational atrocities, witnessing nations benefiting from the suffering and death of their loved ones.

I never really really wondered why my dad had little to no family, why he’s incapable of uttering their names. So many displaced families, so many missing people, so much loss, so much grief, so much weight to carry in mourning with nowhere to bury it.

People who meet you at a vulnerable period of life and show you kindness rather than take advantage of you are a special kind of virtuous. اللهم افتح لهم أبواب الجنة

I wonder what has to happen in the human psyche to be able to inflict so much pain on others. Why do we leave blood in every path we trail?
