I'm just gonna leave this one hanging around abandoned, and possibly eventually lock it depending how I feel. My life has changed in a bunch of ways, and I don't feel connected to this one and its history anymore; it's a little difficult to explain, #JustTransThings, etc. 🙂

… trained its own model using a data set that contained a mix of scans taken when patients were lying down and standing up. patients scanned while lying down were more likely to be seriously ill, the AI learned wrongly to predict serious covid risk from a person’s position.

Occasional reminder that 'short-term' measures have a habit of lingering. COVID-19 will continue to circulate globally for foreseeable future, so countries need to consider what they want coming years to look like.

Maxim St Medical Centre has AZ jabs for <40s available as earlier as Tuesday. Ignore what the hotdoc website tells you; you need to call them directly.
Was able to book without, but will need a 'health summary' and 'letter of concern' from your GP before attending.
