In October I was honored to join @MassGovernor and @MassLtGov for announcement of their proposed $4.1 billion Affordable Homes Act. It’s a bold proposal that meets the moment. Now comes the hard part: getting a strong bill through the legislature. Thread 1/18

“That’s 8,000, or 3,000, or however many homes for the Tim Taylors of the world, people for whom the current housing market makes no room.” I want to be a part of a state that makes room. Last year, ADUs accounted for 1/5 of new homes in Cali. We can do that in MA too!

Congratulations to Brookline and everyone who worked to get this passed. Let’s keep up the momentum, because we need every city and town to help create more equitable and sustainable housing opportunities!
Brookline Town Meeting has overwhelmingly passed MBTA Communities Act compliance with an important rezoning of Harvard Street component to allow more housing in Brookline! Huge thank you to @PaulJWarren for brokering a crucial compromise plan to help make it happen.
