As a former OS contributor to @MetaMask. I personally want to say @danfinlay is by far one of the kindest people I've ever met. Both online and in person. You & the team ignited my joyful journey in being an open source contributor. I hope you rest and enjoy the fam 🙏🏾♥️🙂
Finally, the crypto market can offer something everyone has envied about Visa and Mastercard - recurring payment systems, which crypto hasn’t had. I believe this feature is extremely important. Thank you for your hard work, Dan.
Today is my last day at Consensys, where I've been building MetaMask for over ten years. I'm burned out and need to spend time with my family. Wishing the team the best — they have an amazing road ahead of them.

I'm extremely happy to report the team @coinbase took a closer look, and we've merged the ERC-7710 extension into the x402 spec!
Forget agent credit cards: we're going to have agent department budgets and agent per diems and only pay fees for what we use.
Wow, 3 months into my x402 extension PR, Coinbase approves it & says they just need me to sign the commit, then abruptly admit they hadn't read or understood the proposal, & take opposition.
I hope this clears up the "concerns":

I just opened a PR to add ERC-7710 payments to the x402 protocol for instant web request payments. This new scheme addresses some notable limitations in the initial spec. 1/n

Instead, an agent should be able to get an allowance, share portions of that allowance with sub agents, and they can all make requests without additional user confirmation.
Anyways, just trying to make this stuff work the way it ought to. If you want to learn more about ERC-7710, I think we explored it very well in this podcast: youtu.be/Twibpp8ORJM?si=5Z6G…
