The #Fed will maintain its ultra-accommodating policy until it sees maximum employment and #inflation steadily above 2%. The yield curve has steepened 157 bps with the 10-Year yield hitting 1.73%.
Burst of demand from the economic reopening and fiscal #StimulusChecks compounded by supply bottlenecks has triggered #inflation. Eventually supply will catch up to demand. By comparison, the 10-year yield stood at 1.87% in late 2019 before the world was turned upside-down.
Asset managers are net short the 10-year #treasury futures contract, a sign that #Bond prices will continue to fall and the 10-year benchmark to hit 2% by the end of 2021.
