Been seeing a lot of hype around UGC on my timeline and think so many companies are going about it wrong MORE VIEWS DOES NOT EQUAL CONVERSIONS Having a high view count for your program doesn’t mean anything. If anything, it probably means you’re wasting cash. When we had a Snapchat format video get 5 million views in the beginning at Cluely, we thought we were goated but it didn’t drive any traffic and cost us thousands of dollars. UGC doesn’t build your brand meaningfully so there’s no point in spending thousands on millions of views, it should be a vehicle to convert users, and your video formats should reflect that. If you wanna build your brand, you should probably invest in building your Duolingo Owl brand over 10 abbs & abgs shilling the same viral script.

Choosing to leave went way beyond 12 hour days and not liking the vibes that an Instagram reel can’t capture. My passions ultimately lied in wanting to start my own thing and going all in on my creative pursuits which is why I ultimately left. Will probably make a longer YouTube video about this so feel free to ask any questions in this thread
Cluely CMO quit after 7 months because he was tired of 12 hour days and started to not like the vibe. Gen Z startups are incredible.
