Joe Marler, Ox Nche, Trevor Nyakane, Max Lahiff, David Flatman, Phil Vickery, Ellis Genge - when it comes to rugby players who shine beyond the boundary, props are over represented. Why is that? Here's a love letter to the big fellas for @RugbyPass: rugbypass.com/news/a-love-le…

Love this! Hope they stick the landing. 🇿🇦, 🇿🇼 and 🇳🇦 plus who else? According to ICC rankings it'll be 🇺🇬, 🇰🇪 and 🇹🇿 🇳🇬 not far behind and this would give plenty of incentive for other countries like 🇧🇼 and 🇲🇼 to invest in grassroots.
A 6-team T20 Africa Cup - featuring South Africa and Zimbabwe - is in the works. As a soft launch, a T20 tri-series between South Africa, Zimbabwe & Namibia is set for August in Namibia. Plus an update on the proposed Afro-Asia Cup reboot cricketfj.com/p/exclusive-ne…

For me, the big takeaways were: 👉60% support aligning TRC with @SixNationsRugby 👉69% support adding @fijirugby & @JRFURugby into TRC 👉 78% support an ANZAC Day #BledisloeCup 👉 71% say @SuperRugby is now more enjoyable to watch Plenty for the game’s leaders to consider.

I'm a fan of this. Allows for some flexibility. You're suddenly defending a total where dew will be a factor? Tweak your team. Would love to see this in Tests too where an extra spinner/batter might be a shout depending on the toss.
For those who missed it (like me) captains submit 2 starting XIs before toss in the #PSL then choose their preferred XI after toss. Haven’t thought it through but… good concept! No?

The Six Nations is a better competition than the Rugby Championship despite having worse teams. Here's how to fix that.
OPINION: The Southern Hemisphere needs a special Six Nations of its own, argues @danielgallan #TheRugbyChampionship | #SixNationsRugby rugbypass.com/news/what-the-…

Totally performative post. Gail's is OK generally but their challahs are rubbish. Basically just bread pretending to be challah. Lacks the trademark pull and chew of a proper challah.

I console myself thinking about all the young men in my country, powerful in their youth and confident in their immortality, who are encountering a Proteas semi-final for the first time. Good. Look upon the void and join us in it.

If Ireland's first two results/performances in the 2026 Six Nations were Jacques Nienaber's fault, surely this masterclass at Twickenham is too?😉

Questioning his credentials is not a dog whistle or some attempt to defend local development. It is racism. Pure and simple. If rugby has any values left, there can be no ambiguity on this matter. The only people on trial here are those who would deny him. For @RugbyPass
'Like Roy Keane, boxer Jack Doyle, Olympic runner Sonia O’Sullivan... Edogbo was born in Cobh, County Cork. He attended Colaiste Muire, before enrolling at University College Cork. He has a brother named Seàn' @danielgallan 👨‍💻 rugbypass.com/news/edwin-edo…

But now Nasser Hussein has called Adil Rashid a 'mystery' spinner. Surely he's just a leg/wrist spinner?
Not to argue with a Proteas legend, but doesn't 'finger spinner' mean those who bowl off-spin by turning their fingers over the ball? If he means mystery spinners becasue they bowl with fingers, then surely any bowler applies. Rabada/Bumrah bowl with his fingers, don't they?
