Every time I 3D print something, I can’t help thinking this is as close to magic as it gets: Think up a thing, apply some mediocre 3D modelling skills, wait a bit - and it‘s real

Is there a list of packages that used a compromised version of Trivy in their CI? I can check my dependency graph, but I can‘t check the Github workflow history of all our dependencies.
PyPI quarantined it in 46 minutes, but that was enough for 47k downloads. 2,337 packages on PyPI depend on litellm. 88% had no version pin. We analyzed that, check if you were exposed: futuresearch.ai/blog/litellm…

It’s been a while since my last major tech conference, so I’m very excited to be speaking at PyConDE & PyData 2025 in Darmstadt today! I’ll be presenting “Conquering the Queue: Lessons from processing one billion Celery tasks” with insights from using Celery at Userlike.

Huge shoutout to Stacey from @todoist support for the lightning-fast resolution of my payment issue! Stellar service 🚀 The only way it could’ve been better? If they were using @userlike 😉

On my way home from PyConWeb. Thanks for the team putting together a great event and getting me back on the conference bandwagon. Looking forward to next year!

Somehow I managed to get my Facebook account restricted, and now all things Meta keep breaking in random ways, including the account status page in Facebook Business Support.

I'm working on a little SaaS side project that currently looks like this, and I just implemented blocking your email from receiving unsolicited workspace invitations. Clearly, preventing non-customers from being spammed is way more important than building the actual product. 🎯

The saga continues. I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with PayPal after receiving SEPA mandate emails again. They blocked a guest account, I hope that’s the end of it. To whoever is trying to abuse my bank account: thanks for wasting my time!

Two days later, the amount was indeed deducted from my bank account. I just called the online shop and they did have ~50 fraudulent purchases over the course of an hour. I still don’t understand what the goal of the attacker is here. Damaging the reputation of the shop?

I just received >100 unsolicited emails within a few minutes. Hidden among them was a notification from Paypal about a bank withdrawal. Apparently someone tried to buy 60€ worth of pet food using my bank account number and almost correct address. What‘s the endgame here? 🤨

First impression of ChatGPT Search: the results are too different from Google to say if they are better, but I can see myself making this my default search engine.

I recently discovered a part of the internet where a bunch of cracked 18-22yr old indie hacker kids from no-name unis run bootstrapped mobile apps growth-hacked on TikTok. Each app has 100k monthly users and makes $1M-5M/yr. Never underestimate the kids.

TIL that VSCode has a Timeline view, which gives you a time-series of events for a file. Not just Git commits, but individual file saves too. A life saver if you borked a git reset —hard

PSA: if your car key dies and drains the battery instantly after you replaced it, check if you accidentally bent the battery contacts. This Youtube video just saved me a trip to the dealer and probably 200€ youtu.be/DqZaHAQBLwg?si=fvp0…

Bonus: 2023 is the year of the Rabbit, and the Rabbit is associated with the hours 5-7 in the morning. If you want to finally join the 5AM club, this is the year you have been waiting for! I don't believe in Zodiac signs, but I couldn't help but chuckle about this factoid.
