Here’s an example of government stupidity (sorry to be redundant). I’m flying back from giving a speech in Nevada. I normally book exit row seats for the extra leg room. But, thanks to FAA regulations, that means I have to deal with: 1. The airline asking, when I select the seat, if I’m willing and able to assist with emergency evacuation. 2. The gate agent asking the same thing when my boarding pass is scanned. 3. Having a stewardess ask the same thing after being seated. Is this something that undermines prosperity? No. But is this something showing that bureaucracy is senseless? Yes.
