Day 28 of the #30DayMapChallenge Black, using new @OrdnanceSurvey streetlight dataset, we mapped streetlights of GB on a black background.
Even with land visible, streetlights outline the country perfectly and we use it in TRACC to spot unlit roads and plan safer walking routes.
Day 25 of the #30DayMapChallenge Hexagons
We split Great Britain into hexagons and used TRACC to calculate the hourly average number of trains (Tue, 7am–7pm).
Clear hotspots: the South East, Manchester–Liverpool–Leeds, and the Glasgow–Edinburgh corridor.

Day 21 of the #30DayMapChallenge – Icons 🥐
What’s more iconic than a @GreggsOfficial sausage roll?
We mapped which stations have the most Greggs within a 15-minute walk, using different-sized sausage rolls to show accessibility with a full sausage roll legend, of course.
Unsure that freezing fuel duty and raising the bus cap is sending the right message for driving people onto public transport. Do both or neither.

Having a great time at @Butlins and been for a lovely run on the beach. I really could retire and live by the sea. Excuse the windswept hair. #running#run
Off to a friend's Wedding near stoke today. Have decided to get the train instead of drive, though it would be cheaper and quicker to drive. Oh well, you can't drink and drive, but you can have train beers!
Off to Ireland again today to see my birth mum. Sadly she was given only 6 months to live 4 months ago. I am glad to have found her and get to spend some time with her and fit in three trips over the past year. #adopted#cancersucks
Such a shame that people with #ms can't give blood in the UK. Especially with blood shortages ATM. I used to give blood regularly until my diagnosis. @GiveBloodNHS
Amazing to see #TeamGB get the mixed 400 m relay bronze on the #OlympicGames Especially when Laviai Nielsen has been living with #MS for a couple of years. I know for many this would never be possible, but it's a great positive news story. #Paris2024
Over 20 years ago I spent one year working in a primary school helping to teach it as part of my uni course. I was given this mug as a present at the end of the year. It's amazing how much it meant to me, and is still my goto mig two decades later.
