This is honestly one of the reasons why I've literally turned all my ads off (as much as Twitch will allow me to) because there's literally no point in forcing my viewers to watch 3 minutes of ads every hour when there's really no incentive to. The only downside is that Twitch forces you into 30 sec pre-rolls when you enter stream but π€·
I ran 3 scheduled ad breaks through my last stream (7.5 minutes) to an average viewership of 16 CCV...I made 2 cents in ad revenue.
I'm a streamer that doesn't care about subs or bits, I just like having a good time and stream for funsies. I like to rely on my scheduled ad breaks for any revenue. Whilst I don't need the money, it'd still be nice for extra 'pocket money' per se, yet I get greeted with this lovely graphic this morning. It's extremely disheartening, especially when I've regularly got around 60c-1.10 per stream depending on its length.
I don't know what's going on at Twitch, but if I was a streamer that needed revenue, these numbers would make me quit.
