Imagine a world where you could copy/paste websites into editable Figma layers (jk you don’t have to imagine you can do this now with our Chrome extension)
To get good animations from an AI you need to get good at telling it what you want:
- "stagger this list of items"
- "make this animation direction-aware"
- "spacial consistency", "crossfade", "layout animation",
I made a motion vocabulary for this:

Wrote a little something about how we approach things writing-first at DuckDuckGo.
We write the design decision before anyone opens Figma. In most orgs a mockup looks resolved even when the thinking isn’t. We decide in words, where being wrong costs an afternoon, not weeks.
They’ve spent the whole season projecting Arsenal as a defensive team, meanwhile we’re top 5 across Europe’s top 5 leagues for goals in all competitions, top 3 in the UCL, second most goals in the Premier League, and won 13 games by 3 goal margins 😂
But Apparently having a competent defence now makes you a “defensive” side.
Bukayo Saka: “Light that up! Let me tell you something; 22 years, they were laughing, they were joking. They’re NOT laughing anymore. It’s going to be shining! It’s going to be shining bright!” 🏆💡
TELL EM’, BUKAYO! 🤐❤️
