Alright, this one is actually pretty good! Check the full video here: youtu.be/S2Uqg1va_pI I left Croatia more than ten years ago, but somehow I feel more connected to it now than ever before. There’s the family, the lifelong friendships, and a kind of natural beauty that’s difficult to put into words. And then there’s the Adriatic Sea, which my son shares his name with, and where I’ve found calm and perspective so many times throughout my life. Anyway, a very cool commercial, and a nice tribute to the Croatian diaspora, this time with John Malkovich carrying the message. x.com/TonciGlavina/status/20…

It warms my heart to know I’ve made a positive difference in other people’s lives. Few things mean more to me than that. The number of people who reached out and shared kind words after I announced my departure from DICE has been both humbling and overwhelming. To some, I was a developer they supported. To others, a friend. And for some, I was someone who represented them and their voice out there. We’re all fighting our own battles every day, but I don’t believe we’re meant to fight them alone. We’re here to help one another, learn from one another, and overcome challenges together. At least, that’s how I see it. Maybe it’s just the gamer in me. Thank you again for being part of my journey. Social media can be both a blessing and a curse, but among all the noise, I suppose a small reflection like this can’t hurt. I wish you all a wonderful day!

After 8 incredible years, I’ve decided it’s time for me to move on from Electronic Arts and DICE at the end of June and begin a new chapter. @Battlefield has been part of my life since my teenage years, long before I ever had the privilege of working on it. Getting the chance to contribute to a franchise I grew up loving has meant more to me than I can put into words. I’m deeply thankful to everyone I’ve worked with over the years, and especially to the Battlefield community for the passion, feedback, support, and energy you bring every day. It genuinely matters. I’ve met some truly exceptional people during my time at DICE and made friendships I know will last far beyond this chapter. I’ll always be a Battlefield fan, and I’m honestly looking forward to experiencing the future of the game from the outside again, as a player and member of the community. After the summer break, I’ll be embarking on a new adventure at the end of August, joining another talented Stockholm studio as Core Gameplay Tech Lead. Thank you for everything, and I look forward to sharing more when the time comes! Darko out (for now) 🫡

Last day of parental leave, it was a beautiful experience I will remember forever! Now it’s time to get the little one used to preschool. Wish me luck. Besides the beautiful part, life did what life sometimes does, and we got hit by some unexpected things in this process. I’m happy we endured and continue going forward, stronger. These things just reminded me of how fragile everything is, but at the same time proved that human spirit is the most durable thing in the universe, it transcends all the fragility in all possible ways. Feeling and seeing that is inspiring. On the professional side, coming back to work, I see a playing field that changed drastically from when I left. We live in a new era where technical knowledge takes a slightly different shape in terms of execution, and I am ready for it (I definitely proved to myself that a tired dad can do wonders when his kid is asleep). I am excited about the future, as we’re entering a period where technical change will become the fastest humans have ever seen. Hopefully, we can steer it in a good way, for the best benefit of us all. Alright, time to load things up back into cache and start strong 💪

If you’ve been following me for some time, you know that I renovated my family house attic in Croatia. It was a passion project that took a lot of work and nerves, but it was totally worth it. I did it for us, but also for my dear late grandpa. Being able to bring my son, his great-grandson who carries his name, into this space is a magical experience that transcends life and death. It’s pure emotion that makes everything feel small and irrelevant in comparison. Some time ago Velux approached me for a small cooperation. They liked the space and the view, and they wanted to record a small story about us and how we utilize their roof windows. The result of that cooperation is this video. While the audio and subs are in Croatian (English version coming in the future), I hope this back story I wrote here helps you glue together my emotions and the visuals you see in the video. Hope you like it! youtu.be/MvDvluK7MxQ?si=LH8O…

Just came to say hi, hope everyone is doing fine. I’m alive and well and spending all the moments I can with my family, parental leave is ending soon. I’ve been happily ”unplugged” for some time now. I’m proud of the time I took to bond with my son. Personally, I’ve never experienced as much growth as during this period, cool stuff. Also: being off social media is great, go try it out!

After months of fighting like a true champion, a very close family member is officially kicking cancer’s ass. I am so damn proud and happy I can hardly put it into words. Swedish healthcare, thank you a million times ❤️

Hey! It’s been some time since I last posted here. While Threads does offer better content, I found myself using social media way less in general, and I can say that it felt really good. If you’re thinking about doing the same, I can do nothing but recommend. That said, I will have some things coming up in the (relatively far) future that I’ll involve you all in. Until then, I’ll lurk around and post here and there. I hope your 2026. started well and I hope it stays that way too. Cheers!

After testing the subscription I concluded that the logic involved in what drives engagement around here is not something I resonate with. I’ll still be around, but to a lesser extent. For future, and more substantial and interesting content, drop a follow here: threads.com/@darkosupe?igshi… Let’s build a community over there for what’s to come!

Hey twitter, I’d like to not have to read about a single topic forever if I leave my phone unlocked looking at a related post for more than 15 seconds. Thanks.

I’m really looking forward to some cool stuff I’ll do in 2026. I feel that the parental leave helped me refresh in a way I haven’t felt since school breaks years ago.
