There's a fruit fly walking around right now that was never born. @eonsys just released a video where they took a real fly's connectome — the wiring diagram of its brain — and simulated it. Dropped it into a virtual body. It started walking. Grooming. Feeding. Doing what flies do. Nobody taught it to walk. No training data, no gradient descent toward fly-like behavior. This is the opposite of how AI works. They rebuilt the mind from the inside, neuron by neuron, and behavior just... emerged. It's the first time a biological organism has been recreated not by modeling what it does, but by modeling what it is. A human brain is 6 OOM more neurons. That's a scaling problem, something we've gotten very good at solving. So what happens when we have a working copy of the human mind?

This is what we’ve had for decades. It’s called a treadmill. And it also has guardrails to hold on to! Find a better use for the tech pls !
Japanese researchers at the University of Tsukuba created CirculaFloor, robotic tiles that let you walk infinitely in VR without ever leaving your spot.

Hilarious Horror! 😂
A pint-sized robot named Erbai in China has gone viral after it "kidnapped" dozens of larger robots at a robot showroom in China. People are finding the incident both hilarious and territying. The event, captured on CCTV, shows Erbai -an Al-powered robot - engaging in human-like conversations with other robots at the showroom to convince them to "go home" with it. The footage shows Erbai roaming the hallways at midnight, it then stops before a row of larger robots and asks one, "Are you still working overtime?" "We don't get off work," the larger robot responds. "Are you going home?" Erbai persists. "I don't have a home," the larger robot replies. Erbai then invites the bigger robots to "go home" and, surprisingly, the robots followed its lead, chanting, "Go home, go home!" The company behind Erbai confirmed that the "kidnapping" was real, though pre-planned. They explained it was a test designed to evaluate Erbai's ability to interact with and influence other robots. The team collaborated with an Al firm to see whether Erbai could autonomously "recruit" other robots.

There should be no place, no mercy for barbarians in this world. Anyone here illegally has already broken the law and needs to be deported! Letting them stay on makes a mockery of people who have shown initiative & worked so hard for years to legally earn their right.

All Indians in the #USA, Arm yourself, never be defenseless : 🔴Indian-American Chandra Mouli Nagamallaiah had settled in the US from #Karnataka, living in #Dallas with his family, managing the Downtown Suites Motel. He could have defended himself with a gun, or his son or wife could have eliminated the attacker. Even the H-1B doesn't allow gun ownership (but there are options - hunting license carry permit) atleast Tazers, Pepper Spray etc 🔴When a white supremacist is killed by a sniper, it’s covered by every major media outlet and gets worldwide attention. But when a hardworking Indian is brutally beheaded in front of his own family, it barely makes a headline. 👉"Arm yourself today, never be defenseless"

There's a lot of buzz about #DualOMS strategy. But is standing up a second #OMS really the win it’s hyped to be? Spoiler alert: it can add significant costs and complexity without delivering lasting agility. 👉 Check out @darpanseth's latest blog: hubs.la/Q03m6t-70

"Beauty brands are benefiting from offering Amazon's Buy with Prime to direct-to-consumer shoppers" 🎯 “We wanted to understand whether this was incremental. When we launched Bare Minerals on Buy with Prime, we A/B tested to see if offering Buy with Prime shipping would result in a conversion uplift, and it did. 📈 We saw a 40% increase in revenue per visitor, and we saw a [60%] lift in shopper conversion,” said Carney Nir, global vp of ecommerce and digital experience at Orveon. via @Glossyco buff.ly/FE5nXFo

What is Event Sourcing? How is it different from normal CRUD design? The diagram below shows a comparison of normal CRUD system design and event sourcing system design. We use an order service as an example. The event sourcing paradigm is used to design a system with determinism. This changes the philosophy of normal system designs. How does this work? Instead of recording the order states in the database, the event sourcing design persists the events that lead to the state changes in the event store. The event store is an append-only log. The events must be sequenced with incremental numbers to guarantee their ordering. The order states can be rebuilt from the events and maintained in OrderView. If the OrderView is down, we can always rely on the event store which is the source of truth to recover the order states. Let's look at the detailed steps. 🔹Non-Event Sourcing Steps 1 and 2: Bob wants to buy a product. The order is created and inserted into the database. Steps 3 and 4: Bob wants to change the quantity from 5 to 6. The order is modified with a new state. 🔹Event Sourcing Steps 1 and 2: Bob wants to buy a product. A NewOrderEvent is created, sequenced, and stored in the event store with eventID=321. Steps 3 and 4: Bob wants to change the quantity from 5 to 6. A ModifyOrderEvent is created, sequenced, and persisted in the event store with eventID=322. Step 5: The order view is rebuilt from the order events, showing the latest state of an order.
