A month since the cabinet reshuffle we still don't know who the current State Ministers and Deputy Ministers are. @iharfa@Midhuamsaud please submit a RTI request to @presidencymv to find out who they're. Is knowing ministers also now a national security threat?
In 2008, Ashfaq won us the SAFF Championship. 18 years on, we haven't been able to develop a successor to him & we've been losing despite him still being on the team.
In politics, we elected Nasheed in 2008, & he's still running the show in MDP.
The parallels seem too obvious.
I think Nasheed is the only cult leader remaining in Maldivian politics. A remnant from the MAG era, whom his followers can't seem to move on from, while the rest of the country would rather vote for newer candidates in a general election.
Came out of a funeral right onto a "Bodu Badhalu" street party/rally complete with disco lights and loud music near aasahara tonight.
I think these political parties should be more mindful and respectful about where they choose to play their music and stuff.

If the President is interested in people listening him talk, get on interviews and podcasts with actual journalists who can ask challenging questions instead of friendly chit chats with the government spokesperson.
1/ We need higher quality journalists in Maldives who can do their homework before asking questions. Someone asked what does Muiz think of himself doing so many private trips abroad.
Should've instead asked, YAG did x trips, Ibu did y trips, why have you done this many trips?
2/
Someone else asked if Muiz had lost confidence in MP Nazim. Muiz refused to answer saying he's not at PNC podium.
The person should've pushed back on this asking if this is a PNC government?
3/
Journalists should do their background research, and ask questions with irrefutable evidence rather than based on heresay. And challenge on the answer if the answer is a non-answer.
Everyday 1000s of scam calls originate from the prisons and these people find a phone conveniently from the cell of 2 journalists. Can't seem to find phones or stop scam calls coming from the prison though. 🤷🏽♂️
Just the usual Bermuda Triangle type shit we deal with in Mordis.
Last January I had reported to the Police scam center about a prisoner inside Maafushi prison scamming my Dad. But the Police told me there was nothing they could do as the prisoner would've hidden the phone if they send any guards to look for it.

I had even identified the person who the number was registered under and gave all the details to the Police, including the exact location of the scammer phone.
Why is the Police acting only on specific tips but not others?
