And this is why security consistently fails. Security is essentially tech debt but SWEd are given a perverse incentive towards fixing it. We need to rethink our inventive structure.
Be a damn shame if anyone who’s leaving Twitter right now wanted to disclose to the SEC or the FTC some of the deep security problems at Twitter.

Look I'm just gonna say it. The "bloatware" is almost 100% security processes like logging, error handling, and graceful degradation services. There's a reason the the top security folks left...
