I've been wondering why governments don't use tax policy to address inflation instead of just interest rates? @RBReich, would a progressive tax hike on high income earners not also cool off inflation without punishing lower income people? I'm curious.

I watched #DontLookUp and was equal parts relieved that it has been so widely viewed & stressed that it feels as though we are still frogs in very hot water, just cooking.

Update: apparently this is thanks to low earth orbit satellites by @SpaceXStarlink. Thanks for the noise pollution and occasionally available internet service. Hope @elonmusk doesn't mind when my elevated tube transit swings through Austin on a fair tax collection run.
