As a Canadian and European citizen I'm ready for this ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ˜! Let's make it happen.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney says Canadians will be forced to be part of "the next world order" that will emerge from Europe. This will be a unilateral decision that will not ask Canadians for their input. "Canada will be part of that effort."

In 2021, I was very excited about Solid's Universal Renderer API and Native mobile development Today, we're shipping it Zynth is a fine-grained reactive runtime for iOS and Android, built on @solid_js principles, one codebase, authentic native feel, smooth animations without blocking JS We have Zend on the App Store. We're in open alpha. github.com/zynth-org/zynth

Using solid on mobile devices is obviously the most interesting thing about this release, but I'm excited to know that it can be done with WebGL and Solid. ๐Ÿค”

Unpopular opinion: "AI makes everyone a developer" is true the same way "cameras makes everyone a photographer"

I'm not an AI-fanatic but talking to anti-AI people can be so difficult. They have a lot of valid concerns but a lot of it is also hysteria. Reminds me of the term "Luddite": "The Luddites were members of a 19th-century movement of English textile workers who opposed the use of certain types of automated machinery due to concerns relating to worker pay and output quality." Read more here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludditโ€ฆ This is going to start happening if it hasn't already. This current moment in history feels like a similar transition. History just repeating itself.

I recently contributed a #Solid Query and #SolidStart implementation for Orval (orval.dev). It generates type-safe primitives from OpenAPI. Enjoy. โค๏ธ๐Ÿฅณ orval.dev/docs/guides/solid-โ€ฆ orval.dev/docs/guides/solid-โ€ฆ

What if you could port an entire shadcn registry from React to SolidJS with a single command? That's exactly what Zaidan Agent does, give it a try: ๐Ÿ”— zaidan.carere.dev ๐Ÿค– zaidan.carere.dev/zaidan-ageโ€ฆ โญ github.com/carere/zaidan

I'm giggling at this @easyDNS message we received about switching to @Cloudflare. Have to hand it to them, it's hilarious. "Come back home. We'll make it worth your while..." lol

Solid-js is quietly becoming the safe bet, not the hype.

Did you know you can use Tanstack Start with @solid_js? I built a live hockey draft app for the Tanstack Start Hackathon. Uses @convex, @better_auth, @tan_stack, and @Netlify The turn by turn live draft updates were so simple using Convex. Give it a try!

Woah, Solid Primitives hits 2,000,000 downloads per month! ๐Ÿ˜. My first commit was May 22, 2021 and ever since has been evolved and maintained by some really amazing and dedicated contributors. Kudos to the community for this gem. It's a critical pillar of our ecosystem!

Mmmm, how do we feel about OSS projects in other programming languages using the same name as existing projects (without being officially recognized as such)? IMO, it has the potential to create confusion. Perhaps picking a different/slightly similar name as an homage is better?
I'm really excited to launch my new Flutter framework called Solid ๐Ÿš€ Solid is a tiny framework built on top of Flutter that makes building apps easier and more enjoyable. mariuti.com/posts/flutter-inโ€ฆ

AI coding agents are really good at writing Solid apps! According to the Web Codegen Scorer tool recently released by the @angular team, Gemini can one-shot functioning, good looking, and accessible @solid_js apps.

If Canada is serious about investing into our new sovereign cloud, why don't we make it a mandate for #CanadaPost to tackle? Expand it's capabilities, leverage it's real-estate holdings and use it to transform the organization from ground up (since it needs a major shakeup).

It's very similar to Amazon and AWS. A logistically company basically became very strong in hosting and infrastructure.

Also have government agencies purchase from this new entity. #CanadaPost Web Services (CPWS) and be our own best customer. Stop buying from foreign providers like AWS, GCP etc. Return that revenue back to CanadaPost to help cover it's operating costs.
