NEW BEGINNINGS:
DAVE EVANS IS NEW BUCKLEY TOWN FC FIRST TEAM MANAGER
Pete Edwards, Chairman BTFC
“We are delighted to welcome Dave who you will all know from his time at FC Queen's Park, Ruthin Town and most recently, Gresford Athletic. After speaking to Dave, we were extremely impressed with his plans, organisation and passion to join our Club. I can confidently say that Dave's experience in Tier 2 is massive for Buckley and I am overjoyed to have Dave on board to take the Club forward into our next era. Please all join me in welcoming Dave and his team, big boots to fill, but I know as fans you will be behind the team and give them your typical Buckley Town Football Club support.

“On behalf of everyone at Buckley Town, I’m delighted to welcome Dave Evans as our new First Team Manager. Dave brings great experience and a clear vision for how he wants to move the club forward, and we’re confident he is the right person to lead us into this next chapter. I’d also like to place on record our thanks to Gresford Athletic for their professionalism throughout this process. We look forward to supporting Dave and his team and wish him every success in his new role.
A further statement in relation to the backroom staff, and the restructure of our Reserves and U19’s section will be issued later this week.”
Dave Evans, 1st Team Manager, BTFC
"I am absolutely delighted to be given the opportunity to be First Team Manager at Buckley Town Football Club. From the very first conversations I had with Pete and Mark, I saw just how ambitious everyone connected with Buckley is, and I am incredibly proud and humbled that a club of this size and stature has trusted to me to take the Club forward. It is a fantastic opportunity and one that I simply could not turn down.
"Buckley Town is a football club with tremendous potential. The facilities are right up there with some of the very best in the league and it is obvious that there is a real desire throughout the club to continue progressing and moving forward. As a manager, those are the types of challenges and environments you want to be part of, and I genuinely cannot wait to get started.
"One thing that has always stood out to me about Buckley Town is the support. Whether at home or away, the backing this club receives has always been unbelievable. The supporters are passionate, loyal and care deeply about their football club. I know how important that connection between the fans, players and staff is, and I hope over the coming months we can give the supporters something to really cheer about. Success is always built together and I firmly believe that when everybody pulls in the same direction, special things can happen.
"I also recognise that there are big shoes to fill. The previous management team did a fantastic job during their tenure and deserve enormous credit particularity Asa in his first management role. They leave behind strong foundations and it is now my responsibility to continue building on the excellent work that has already been done.
"For me, the key moving forward is togetherness. If we can keep that strong connection between the supporters, players, committee and everyone associated with the football club, then there is no reason why we cannot look forward to having a very successful season. There is real potential here and I am excited about what the future can hold for Buckley Town Football Club.
"I cannot wait to begin this new chapter and give absolutely everything I have for this football club."
