Why are my two space stocks dropping this morning despite their good financials? Oh—the unrelated Blue Origin test flight explosion (no one was hurt). My theorem that the stock market is run by a middle school "the sky is falling" mentality remains intact.

Seems like inflation/hyperinflation will be a step to reduce the gov debt. Our new digital wallet/currency will be introduced in 2030 or so. Is it possible that the gov will blame our current cash system for inflation and the new digital wallet will be pushed as "the solution?"

A note about the Federal Reserve rate. That rate has nothing to do with consumer rates like mortgage or car rates. It is solely the rate at which the Fed charges the gov to borrow money. The last two times the Fed lowered rates, mortgage rates actually went up over a percent.

(This may be unpopular). The president is upset about the optics of the low jobs report and corrections. But it does one thing that he should like—it makes Fed rate cuts all but inevitable. Sept rate cut chance went Fri from 37% to over 80%.

So, the Department of Education has been terminated today. I’ve been paying my student loan payment to The Department of Education—that’s what the payment receipts say. So I don’t need to pay any more? I mean, there’s no entity to pay any more. ;)

You said with schools “we need to get our mojo back,” it may “only cost us 2-3%” mortality and "It might be a tradeoff that some folks would consider." In my small 700 student HS, 20 children would die. In my school district 50-60 kids would die. Total community devastation.

Whether you're liberal or conservative, this is kind of crazy – – and silly, from a tech perspective. arstechnica.com/information-…

I started watching "The OA" on Netflix. I can't figure out what this show is about at all...but I can't stop watching it. Four episodes in.
That moment when you realize you’ve been going to this tech conference for over twenty years…. #pete2017

I'm possibly the only person alive who thinks the best thing on HBO right now is "Becoming Mike Nichols."
