It's time for the annual state of the cloud for APIs report but now from APIContext. There's some interesting stuff in this one, not that there isn't usually.

My main takeaway is that API developers, solution owners can't just rely on improvements in the cloud to make things better - you have to actually look at these things yourself.
Also, whomever at @awscloud has been on the DNS management beat has done a fantastic job.
I am repeatedly assured Seattle is a shithole that is dying and nobody goes downtown anymore.
Imagine my surprise to be downtown on a random Thursday night in winter and find it’s bloody heaving
Well the news is public. Really excited by what we’re going to do together. Continuous compliance and governance in production is essential and API Context will have the best technology for that.
Can’t wait for the next steps!

Let me get this straight. Slack has gone from being annoying but different to Teams, to annoying and looking similar to Teams but even harder to find things?
How it could ever be even hard to find things is beyond me but it is what it is.
Yes, $90 BILLION - and honestly I think that's conservative. People just assume that because you have support and ops teams and they're busy that that's just the cost of doing business. FIX THE ROOT CAUSES of poor quality and stop wasting money and bandwidth!
$90 BILLION? Yes. We'll write that out in long form – $90,000,000,000 – and we think that is a conservative estimate of the amount of effort lost to poor API quality a year. hubs.li/Q020zZXT0
Good thoughts here on security as part of the product lifecycle - something clearly missed out and more evidence of the need for better API product solutions.
