I know what it feels like to love a team, love the game, and still not be able to attend because life has put walls in front of you. I grew up in a very poor family. I remember being 8 years old, standing outside a stadium with my friend, selling food and water, desperate to watch Galatasaray play. We did not have tickets. We did not have money. A security guard saw us, felt sorry for us, and let us sneak in. I never forgot that moment. I never forgot what it meant to a young kid who just wanted to feel the magic of football.
This year, I will personally purchase 2,000 tickets for Pogoń Szczecin matches this season and share them with individuals, families, children, and supporters who cannot attend because of severe and difficult financial and family circumstances. This will include orphanages and families in our region who love this club but may not have the ability to be inside the stadium. In the coming weeks, we will create a dedicated page for this initiative where people can submit requests. A small group from the club, with the possible support of volunteers, will help verify, process, and accommodate as many fans as possible.
Pogoń Szczecin is not just a football club. It is the team of this city, this region, and these supporters. As the current guardian of this club, I feel blessed and grateful to God for giving me the opportunity to be in this position and to help in any way I can.
Maybe one of the young children who receives help today will one day be in a position to help others ten times more. That is how life works. Someone opens a door for you, and one day you open doors for others.
No child who loves Pogoń should feel that this club is out of reach. This club belongs to the people and this game belongs to everyone.
