Listening to Baroness 'Angie' Smith on #bbcaq @BBCPolitics 'badly explaining away' @Keir_Starmer current problem. I thought I was listening to a sketch on John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme! Well, since you ask me to defend a lame duck prime minister and not mention a damp squid

Health workers vote to strike over plan to move staff to new company The NHS depends on support staff to keep hospitals clean, safe and running efficiently. Many are already low paid and moving them to subsidiary companies will leave them with a worse deal msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/he…

Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer Things fall apart the centre cannot hold Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world The blood-dimmed tide is loosed and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned The best lac @NorthEast_CA @KiMcGuinness

Something very sad and wrong at North of Tyne Combined Authority. Wanted to attend event - put on 'Waitlist' Today email encouraging people to apply for last few tickets But 'Computer says No!' Organisations like this simply don't work for the likes of me! eventbrite.co.uk/e/people-po…

This must be classed as an evil experiment on an unsuspecting public conducted without a protocol, without Ethics approval and without our consent. How would you describe such people who knowingly disregard patient safety? @wesstreeting
The UK healthcare is a mess, you have a chance of being anaesthetised and operated on by individuals with no medical qualifications and no medical training. Even worse most patients aren't aware this is happening and have not given consent

Is this the way to fix social care in England? Hammersmith and Fulham is the only English council where personal care is free to anyone who needs it. Free home care was introduced here 10 years ago, and the borough’s leaders are convinced it helps the NHS. msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/is…

It is a really positive experience working as part of the Tilly Hale Carer Research Panel. I have shared my carer experiences to help advance the knowledge of researchers for the benefit of those who are facing the realities, emotional challenges & uncertainty of providing care.
Dr Cooper's blog, how the Tilly Hale Carer Research Panel has benefited his & others' research commissioning an art piece conveying "What it means to be a carer". psrc-ncl.nihr.ac.uk/2025/01/… @NHIPartners @NCL_Pharmacy @NCL_medscience @NIHRinvolvement @NIHRPSRCs

NHS staff haven’t been failing, they have been failed. For 14 long years. Wes Streeting would do well to remember that, and to be more careful with his language going forward. theguardian.com/society/2024…
