1000% take some of these coaches to places with average talent and no one knows them. Some coaches can win with any talent level, some can only do it with elite talent.

Coaches are really good when their players are really good. Never forget that.
Iโve been in a semi final game as a HC and Iโve also been 3-7.
I can tell you with certainty the 3-7 year was a better coaching job.
People who focus solely on W/L will always miss the mark.

Professional development is key.
Our only suggestion? Leave the MaxPreps rosters of the other teams in attendance at home next time.

The best coaching staffs Iโve been around had this in common:
They genuinely liked being around each other. They could laugh together, hang out together, and talk football for hours.
Yet they still respectfully disagree in a meeting and then walk out aligned. That kind of trust matters, and itโs not easy to build. It takes time and effort.
