the blueprint to get bigger, faster and stronger this summer.
12 weeks. follow it exactly.
→ heavy lifts 3x per week
→ explosive movement paired with heavy lifting
→ 2 sprint days at 100% effort with full recovery
→ dialed in nutrition
→ 9 hours of sleep nightly
12 weeks of this and you add 10-15 lbs of explosive muscle, drop 0.2 seconds off your 40 and walk into camp unrecognizable.
your teammates wont believe it. your coaches wont keep you off the field.
Wish I'd coached myself as a player! So many opportunities missed because I didn't understand. Thinking like a coach while you're still playing unlocks a new level.

More on this... wanted to find real examples of what this drill was trying to replicate...
Put together a couple clips of Brian Branch of the Lions. He has a great understanding of when to THUMP and when to be patient coming from depth. If I was till playing and wanted to get better at tackling - he's on the list of guys to study.
I also put in a clip of what aggressive and "out of control" looks like - it has nothing to do with "Don't stop you feet"
- Control and patience.
- Take away side
- let runner commit - Go get him
- Fight to stay on feet as long as possible..
I pure 1 on 1 open field the runner has the advantage. they are too good to just let you take shots like that.
Think "cutting horse" not "Bull Fighter"
There is a time and place to sprint through a runner - the open field is not one of them! By sprinting to try and close the distance so aggressively, they have no choice but to "Stop their feet" if the runner makes the slightest of moves.
Comments and dialogue appreciated and welcome !!
OLE'!!
Running a crossover isn't about full speed. Aim for 3/4 speed for control and balance. Trying to go all-out will throw you off, making it harder to defend routes.
